History of Pioneer Fence, Deck and Supply Company
1994
Robert Holbrook started Pioneer Fence in 1994 in Colorado. He had been employed as a nurse in the hospital for many years and worked a considerably amount of over time. One day he decided he needed a change and wanted something different for his life. With a handful of employee, he started a fencing company with the expectation that it would be only a part-time job. That part-time job quickly grew into full-time employment as the orders for fences grew.
1996
With two successful years of building fences behind him, he added decks to their list of services. Business continued to grow each year with Robert adding more employees and more options for fences and decks.
2000
Robert sold his fencing business and moved to Vancouver where he started Pioneer Fence, Deck and Supply Co. 
Having many years experience in the fence and deck business, he made the decision to expand his services and started offering custom patio covers. Patio covers were an instant hit, this being the Pacific Northwest where we are known to receive our fair share of rain. Robert soon noticed a need for another service as some of their customers were “do-it-yourselfers” but did not have a place to go to get the supplies they needed for their fence or deck project. Do-It-Yourself packages were born to fill that need and give those people the quality materials they needed delivered to their door.
2007
As their reputation grew and business increased, they realized the need for a retail location so clients could stop in and look over their options. In March of 2007, their dream of a retail location came true with the opening of their store in the Salmon Creek area on Highway 99. Even though the business has grown, they have kept that “home town” feel and treat every customer as if their project is the most important, because it is.
