Why Cook with Traeger?
There are multiple reasons why cooking on a Traeger grill is superior to other grills available on the market today.
Taste
First and foremost is taste. Food cooked on a Traeger pellet grill tastes better than food cooked with gas or charcoal AND a wood fire is a healthier way to cook.
Healthier
How is it healthier? Cooking on a pellet grill adds zero fat, cholesterol or calories to your food. The National Cancer Institute recommends the indirect cooking systems on a Traeger because it produces less benzopyrene.
Smoker
A Traeger is absolutely one of the best smokers you can buy. Traeger selects only the finest hardwoods from across the country to go into our pellets. The hardwood smoke penetrates the food giving it tremendous flavor. Smoke your own fish and jerky. Friends and neighbors will be begging to come over!
Safety
Traeger grills are easy to operate and much safer than standard gas or charcoal grills. No need to worry about gas leaks, lighting fluid or running out of propane in the middle of cooking your dinner. Flare-ups are a thing of the past as our patented E-Z Grease Drain System transports grease drippings out of the cooking chamber and into a catch bucket.
Auto-Start System
Our patented auto-start system automatically lights the pellets every time you turn on the power switch and you’re cooking in a matter of mere minutes.
How Does It Work?
A Traeger grill is both simple and safe to operate. A standard household electric current (110 VAC) powers the igniter rod, auger motor, and fan. You simply pour the all-natural wood pellets in the pellet hopper. When you push the “On” switch, the igniter rod is activated and the auger starts to feed pellets into the firepot while the fan feeds air into the firepot. The igniter rod is a small heating element that gets red hot and then shuts off in a couple of minutes, just long enough for the pellets to be ignited. Heat and wood smoke surround your food as it cooks, resulting in an “out of this world” taste.
Versatile
A simple flip of a switch allows you to change your cooking method. While the switch is set on “high”, you can grill your food. Turn the switch to the “Medium” setting and you can slow cook. The “Smoke” setting allow you to hot smoke your food. While on the “Smoke” setting, you don’t even have to tend the fire as the grill delivers an even smoke without having to tend the fire. Traeger’s patented electronic control board controls the start-up process and operating temperature of the grill. This control board regulates the heat and smoke in the Traeger by stopping and starting the auger motor, making this one of the safest and easiest grills to use.
